Ben Scanlan

Specialist in Depression, suicidal feelings, anxiety, career stress, issues of living, relationship problems, addiction, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, gender specific issues, spiritual anxiety, bereavement and loss

In my experience, most of us aren't able to walk along happily all the time; there are issues ranging from career problems, anxiety about our future to severe depression after a trauma. These issues, and any issues, can occasionally go away by themselves, but more often, they need exploring in the context of your life to come to a greater understanding. That's where I come in; giving you a space that you can use to get a better understanding of how you are in the world, why you may be like that, how it serves you and what possible routes forward you have. I believe our relationship, and ability to be honest with each other is key.

I have experience in a variety of settings including the NHS, Maytree (a sanctuary for people in suicidal crisis) and other charities.
