Biography

Dr Gavin Jones, DHealthPsych, MSc, BSc (Hons), HCPC Registered Psychologist

Dr Gavin Jones is a highly professional and experienced Psychologist and specialises in the assessment and treatment of mental health, and emotional and behavioural issues. Gavin has worked in mental health for over ten years, starting his career working in the criminal justice system, moving towards the treatment of mental health and addiction in the private sector, lecturing on topics related to trauma and sleep for the University of the West of England, England.

Gavin embraces a compassionate and evidenced based approach to his therapeutic work and he can successfully work with a wide variety of presenting difficulties in people from varied social, cultural, ethnic and sexual backgrounds. However, central to Gavin’s psychological work is the necessity to improve sleep as poor sleep has been associated to difficulties such as depression, anxiety and addictive behaviour. Therefore, Gavin’s therapeutic focus to improve sleep, will also innocuously support the improvement of other psychological and physical health issues.
