Biography

My name is Kim Tapper I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I have been a fully qualified counsellor for over 25 years . I am registered with the B.A.C.P and I am listed on their approved register. I take a person centred approach, which is the belief that we can can all find the answers and solutions to our problems from within ourselves . However I will use other approaches when required as with CBT when working with clients struggling with anxiety.
My experience has been both working with adults and teenagers from a variety of different backgrounds and in a variety of settings I specialise in anxiety and stress, . anger management and depression, and relationship and communication issues, I also cover a wide range of other issues which include bereavement and loss, self esteem issues, family problems with separation and or divorce, domestic violence, and remaining child hood issues and traumas. I am committed to providing the best possible care for each client and will work in the way that suits each individual .
I also currently work as a support worker with autistic children in a school setting , so have an understanding of the issues and problems this can bring into the family environment.
I attend my own regular supervision sessions, which is a a requirement of the British Association of Counselling and I adhere to their code of ethics.
