Biography

Hi, I’m Lois Killeen, an integrative therapist offering personalised support to individuals navigating life’s challenges. My approach centres on creating a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace.

I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to tailor sessions to your unique needs, including person-centred counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, Gestalt techniques, and trauma-informed practices. I’ve also trained in Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP), a group-based EMDR method that deepens my ability to support trauma processing.

My background includes a BA (Hons) in Philosophy from the University of Sheffield, Diplomas in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills, and a Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice. Alongside private practice, I’ve worked in mental health social care, supporting individuals and families affected by trauma, domestic violence, and relational difficulties.

Counselling with me is a collaborative journey. In a safe and confidential space, we’ll work together toward goals that matter to you, whether that’s gaining clarity, building coping strategies, or fostering personal growth. Progress isn’t always linear, and I’ll be alongside you through the ups and downs.

If you're seeking support, guidance, or simply a space to be heard, I invite you to reach out. Whether you have questions, want to discuss your needs, or are considering booking a session, I’m here to help.

Once you get in touch, I’ll respond to arrange an initial consultation, a gentle starting point where we can explore your concerns and consider the best way forward. Therapy with me is always tailored, collaborative, and grounded in respect for your pace and preferences.

Our journey begins with a conversation.

Approach to treatment

Counselling is a collaborative journey designed to support your emotional wellbeing. Through a safe, confidential space, you’ll explore thoughts, emotions, and challenges, with professional guidance, working to a goal you create that may help you gain clarity, build coping strategies, and foster personal growth. Progress isn’t always linear, sometimes it gets harder before it gets easier.
If you're seeking support, guidance, or a safe space to explore your thoughts and emotions, I encourage you to reach out. Whether you have questions about counselling, want to discuss your needs, or are considering booking a session, I’m here to help.
Once you contact me, I’ll respond as soon as possible to arrange an initial consultation, where we can discuss your concerns and determine the best approach for your journey.
