Biography

Change Is Possible”

In our time of a global challenge, you are likely to be facing insurmountable stress in your work, family and private life. Over many years my clients from the NHS and Universities have told me that talking for the first time felt like something was physically lifted from them, leaving them to feel more at ease with themselves. I hold a UKCP licence in post-graduate integrative psychotherapy – mind-body approach.

Perhaps you are facing the stress of managing adjustments at work, financial uncertainty and intense emotional strain on the family. Mindfulness woven with therapy has proved to have extraordinary effects.

Coping with increasing separation from loved ones and concerns for their safety can trigger feelings of helplessness and vulnerability. My expertise in stress and working with trauma symptoms gained in Dublin, Ireland will help bring understanding and calm.

On top of this, you may feel hard-pressed to address longstanding childhood or relational issues which are impacting your daily life. We can create a safe space where you can feel confident and understood could lead to clarity about a way forward. We can remove the blocks which have stopped you feeling fulfilled and thriving in your relationships and work. You may want your pain and suffering to be embraced and gently held. My attachment-based therapy can support you.

I also provide educational tools for addressing panic, anxiety, depression, disorders, flashbacks, etc. I hope working with myself at Resonance Psychotherapy will help you flourish and grow to embrace your life fully whilst facing today's global challenges.

Interfaith and intercultural issues interest me and have led me to India and Turkey, where I have learned together with psychotherapists and faith leaders.

If you resonate with me I would like to help you become fully in control of your life, and empowered to
find fulfilment and achieve a greater connection with others in our globally challenging times.

Approach to treatment

I will discuss approaches which could be a match to achieve your particular goals for therapy. I integrate gestalt therapy, inner child work, trauma treatment, relational therapy, nature therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy, Raising awareness about the connection between what you express and the body sensations you experience is a core principle. Bringing attention to the Subtle changes in your body can bring you into awareness of your unspoken and unmet needs. I use the gestalt cycle to explore and work with you on how you interrupt your needs.
