Sarah Hudson - Therapist

SPECIALIST IN Depression & Low Mood Disorders; Anxiety/Generalised Anxiety Disorder/Phobias/Panic Attacks; Stress/Anger Management; Trauma/PTSD; Grief/Bereavement; Family/Relationship issues; Addiction - alcohol, prescribed and non-prescribed drugs & Relapse prevention; Self-esteem and Motivation.

My aim is to empower you to get to where you want to be. To help you discover your potential; to overcome your personal obstacles and issues; to improve your relationships.

I have been a therapist for 27yrs and qualified up to masters level. I've worked in various settings including the NHS (hospital and doctors surgeries) and large national charities. This has given me a breath of experience in for example addictions, depression and anxiety disorders, relationship and family issues; self-harm and suicidal behaviour; trauma and bereavement.
Humanistic Person Centred approach has guided my training towards Integrative Psychotherapy. The philosophy that we are all unique fits this model; it recognises the value of you as a unique person and combines elements of other approaches to help you grow and flourish.

The years have taught me that I don't have all the answers although I do have the skills to help you discover yours. I also know that I can sit with you and be with you in your felt sense of anxiety, fear, depression, anger, chaos or loneliness. I strongly believe that you can be empowered to find your own answers.

My passion is in the evolving research of neuro-psychotherapy or brain based therapy. This approach is based in cutting edge brain science - how the brain works, the connection with mind and body, our social interactions and our environment and how we experience all of this - emotionally and behaviourally. Maybe that sounds a lot but basically it just means that it helps me to see the whole of you rather than just one part of you.

Together you and I can work towards discovering ways that help you to arrive at where you want to be. As we adjust to the presence of COVID19, online and telephone sessions offer unique opportunities for you and I to explore and experience how we work together.

Contact me by telephone, text or email to learn more about me and or to explore what you feel you need. Together we will work on strategies that help you to address the root causes of your issues and build your resilience.

Hello and Welcome to My Profile!

All the experiences we encounter from childhood onward shape our belief systems and deeply influence how we relate to ourselves and others. Counselling offers a space to explore and revise unhelpful thought patterns, while supporting you in finding your own narrative and making sense of your struggles. It is a journey of self-discovery and increased self-awareness.

Counselling can provide invaluable support in reconnecting with your inner needs, wants, and desires.

My mission is to create a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you feel free to offload and explore any issue—without pressure to perform or meet external expectations.

I work holistically, embracing the complexity of being human. I believe that everyone has the capacity to heal and grow in any area of life they choose to focus on.

In my professional practice, I always demonstrate sensitivity to individual differences. I work respectfully and inclusively with clients of all ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, religious and cultural backgrounds—treating everyone with unconditional positive regard.

I am a MBACP-registered Counsellor, specialising in Trauma work, and belong to the accredited register recognised by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. I am also accredited by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

I bring over 23 years of experience in Mental Health and Trauma, having worked in a wide range of settings including the NHS, MIND, Drugs and Alcohol Services in London, Carers Centres, EAPs, and Universities.

My approach is Integrative, meaning I draw on a variety of therapeutic models tailored to each client’s individual needs. These include Gestalt Therapy, Person-Centred Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). My style is both collaborative and relational.

In our first session, we’ll explore your current concerns and identify the goals you wish to achieve through therapy. This session also gives you the chance to talk freely and be heard in a confidential, supportive setting.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope it has been helpful.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
Ashley Horsley - Therapist

SPECIALIST IN DEPRESSION & LOW MOOD DISORDERS; ANXIETY/GENERALISED ANXIETY DISORDER/PHOBIAS/PANIC ATTACKS; STRESS/ANGER MANAGEMENT; TRAUMA/PTSD; GRIEF/LOSS/BEREAVEMENT; FAMILY/RELATIONSHIP ISSUES; ADDICTION - ALCOHOL, PRESCRIBED AND NON-PRESCRIBED DRUGS & RELAPSE PREVENTION; SELF-ESTEEM AND MOTIVATION. FEELING STUCK/LOST. EXISTENTIAL CRISIS.

I have worked in the field of mental health for over twenty years and I do this work from a place of love, passion and vocation. As well as a thorough and in-depth professional training I also bring the important often difficult learnings from life, relationships, parenting, loss, ageing: any such central components of being alive. My central thrust is towards connection, authenticity and trust: to offer this and thus encourage the same from you.

I create a safe space in which you can feel ready to unburden yourself from the weight of whatever you are carrying alone. Whether it is your anxieties and fears or your anger and dissatisfaction; whether it is haunting trauma or crippling self-doubt: whatever it is I am there to accompany you on the journey to the bottom of it. The work is all about communication and expression, through listening to your story and through working with your body where so often tension is trapped and tormenting. The timing of your arrival in therapy is always the right timing: when your need wells right up to the surface and sends you to me I am here.
Andrew Leighton - Therapist

SPECIALIST IN Trauma, Addiction, Anxiety, Depression

Reaching out for therapy isn’t always easy, and finding someone you feel comfortable talking to is an important first step. My aim is to offer a space where you can be yourself without fear of judgement—a space where you feel listened to, understood, and supported, but also encouraged to make meaningful changes in your life.

My journey into therapy came from a genuine passion for helping people. Like many of the clients I work with, I’ve experienced my own mental health struggles and life’s challenges. Those experiences gave me a deeper understanding of how difficult life can feel at times, but also showed me that change is possible. They inspired me to build a career helping others navigate their own challenges and move towards a life that feels more fulfilling.

I initially trained as a Life Coach because I wanted to help people achieve positive change. As my experience grew, I realised that many of the difficulties people face are rooted in emotional pain, trauma, relationships and past experiences. I wanted to be able to support the whole person, not just their goals, which led me to complete my psychotherapy training and continue developing my skills.

What I enjoy most about this work is seeing people begin to understand themselves differently. Whether it’s overcoming anxiety, processing trauma, rebuilding self-esteem or simply feeling hopeful again, there’s something incredibly rewarding about watching someone become unstuck and recognise possibilities they couldn’t previously see.
I believe therapy is about more than talking. It’s about understanding yourself, developing new perspectives, building healthier patterns, and creating lasting change.

My Approach
I work as an integrative therapist, tailoring therapy to your individual needs rather than following a single approach. Depending on what you’re experiencing, I draw from Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Somatic approaches, alongside knowledge from ACT, DBT, Psychodynamic and Gestalt therapies. I am also an EMDR Europe registered practitioner.

My style is relaxed, collaborative and genuine. Therapy isn’t something that happens to you—we work together to explore what’s happening, understand why, and decide how to move forward.

While I offer compassion and acceptance, I’m also comfortable gently challenging unhelpful patterns when it’s helpful to do so. Many clients tell me they appreciate having someone who will both listen and encourage them to take practical steps towards the life they want.

I believe that meaningful change often starts with building solid foundations. Looking after your physical wellbeing, daily routines, relationships and environment can have a significant impact on your mental health. From there, we can begin exploring deeper emotional experiences, long-standing patterns and the changes you want to make.
Whether you’re looking for insight, practical strategies, or trauma-focused therapy, my aim is to help you leave sessions with greater understanding, renewed motivation, and a clearer sense of direction.

Areas I Work With
I work with adults of all ages and support people experiencing:
• Anxiety and excessive worry
• Depression and low mood
• Trauma, PTSD and Complex PTSD
• Low self-esteem and confidence
• Addiction and recovery
• Abuse and its lasting effects
• Feeling stuck or lacking direction
• Questions around meaning, purpose and identity
• Life transitions and personal growth
• Relationship and Family issues

Whatever has brought you to therapy, we’ll work together to understand your experiences and find an approach that feels right for you.

Qualifications & Professional Training
• Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling
• Practitioner Diploma in Life Coaching
• EMDR Practitioner (EMDR Europe)
• Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

My psychotherapy training is integrative and includes Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Gestalt Therapy and Somatic approaches.

I have also completed additional Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in working with anxiety and addiction and continue to undertake regular training, supervision and professional development to ensure my practice remains current and effective.

Starting therapy can feel daunting, but you don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Whether you’re facing a specific difficulty or simply know that something needs to change, we can work together to understand what’s happening and help you move towards the life you want.
If you’re looking for a therapist who combines warmth, honesty, practical support and evidence-based approaches, I’d be pleased to hear from you.

As a person centred trained counsellor with over 11 years of experience, I provide a safe space to explore your issues and guide you on your journey of self-discovery. Through my work, I have adapted the use of different models of counselling depending on the client’s needs. By working together, we will explore your life, helping you gain clarity and discover ways to make sense of your emotions so that you can move forward in a positive way. As everyone is different, I take the time to understand your specific situation so I can tailor your therapy to your individual needs.

I have never met a client who needs to be "fixed" yet I have met a lot who didn't have the space free of judgment to share their emotions, struggles, concerns or issues. Reaching out for help is the first step and I would offer you the next one: the safe space to be heard and take the next steps towards a better future.
