Biography


I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and a registered member of the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) and BPS (British Psychological Society).

I completed my Doctorate in 2011 and have since worked in a number of different health care settings both in England and New Zealand. My training and experience means I ca work with a wide range of mental health, emotional and psychological issues, using different therapeutic techniques best matched to the clients difficulties.

I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress related disorders, low self esteem and anger to name a few.

Approach to treatment

At the heart of my practice is the client-therapist relationship. This is built upon warmth, understanding and respect. I like to work with the clients and be led by their goals, to find solutions and coping mechanisms that work for them. Sessions are collaborative and client-focused.
